Each LaSallemas (aka our company’s anniversary), we announce the winners of our most sought-after awards: “LaSallian of the Year,” “Making it Happen,” and our newly added, “People’s Choice.” Below we share the 2021 honorees, and what it means to each of them to take home LaSalle’s biggest titles.
LaSallian of the Year: Rachel Holmes
The “LaSallian of the Year” epitomizes LaSalle’s culture. They’re friendly, passionate, hardworking and a true team player. They are always happy to help a teammate and go an extra mile for a client. The “LaSallian of the Year” loves what they do, where they work, and are an essential member of our team. Describe the moment your name was announced. How did you feel?
I was very surprised, honestly. There are so many incredible people that work at LaSalle, and there were a handful of peoples’ names I was expecting to get called before mine, so it was surprising, but so exciting!
What does this award mean to you?
It really is validation in a way for putting in a lot of hard work. I’ve grown so much personally and professionally at LaSalle, and seeing that I’ve made an impact on a company that has made such a big impact on me is a very rewarding feeling.
What have you accomplished in the past year that you are particularly proud of?
One of my biggest accomplishments is probably the revenue I’ve brought in for my group. 2020 was a tough year, and we have had to completely rebuild our team, so crushing goals as an individual and as a team this year is something I’m really proud to be a part of.
Making it Happen: Jeremy Reinhart
The “Making it Happen” award goes to the LaSallian who doesn’t take no for an answer and doesn’t let anything get in their way. They overcome great challenges to produce incredible results, knocking down walls and barriers to help grow the Briefcase. Describe the moment your name was announced. How did you feel?
The moment my name was announced I was shocked and elated all at once. Seeing and hearing the venue of LaSallians celebrate with me felt like I had a second family cheering me on. I felt extremely touched and grateful for my Green family!
What does this award mean to you?
This award to me solidified that I am where I want to be, that it pays off to always push yourself and to be the best teammate you can be. Sometimes you have to be willing to sprint when the distance is unknown.
What have you accomplished in the past year that you are particularly proud of?
This year, I am particularly proud of not only winning this award but doing so while being a new parent to my son. Lessons I’ve learned working with LaSalle are those that I want to one day pass down to him. There will be a day he needs a pep talk, and I’ll always have 2021 to look back and reflect on.
People’s Choice: Daveed Erickson
The “People’s Choice” award is voted on by the people! LaSallians submitted their votes on who they’d want on their team. This LaSallian is a team player, prioritizes collaboration, and showcases our 3Es: education, empathy and empowerment. Describe the moment your name was announced. How did you feel?
The room kind of went mute for me. It was a bit of a shock. I knew I was a finalist, but there were some great nominees.
What does this award mean to you?
This is the only award at the company elected by the people of the company. My team is partnered with every group at LaSalle, so this was a validation of that work through the year. To be acknowledged, in an objective way, for my work is really special.
What have you accomplished in the past year that you are particularly proud of?
I am proud I was able to promote four managers, double our team size and reach all-time highs in revenue contribution, all while working remotely. The potential for this team is extremely high, and I could not be more excited to see how much we can grow.
