Reporting to the Billing Manager, this position will be responsible for making sure all billings are done correctly and in a timely manner, working hand in hand with attorneys.
This position is hybrid and budgeted at a base salary of $85,000-$95,000.
Billing Specialist Responsibilities:
- Maintain expertise of the firm’s billing systems and tools
- Work with Client Service Lawyers to ensure timely billing and collections
- Issue draft bills that meet attorney/client requirements for attorney review
- Prepare ad hoc reports for billing attorneys and clients as requested
- Issue expertise of Electronic Billing vendors; upload/monitor invoice submission in same
Billing Specialist Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting
- 2+ years of legal billing experience
- Advanced Excel skills, able to work with large sets of data
- Outstanding communication (both oral and written) and interpersonal skills
