- Office Re-Entry Timeline: 74 percent of businesses reported they will bring employees back to the office by fall 2021. This is an increase from just 49 percent stating plans to bring employees back into the office by fall 2021 in March 2021.
- Decline in Phased Re-Entry Approach: More companies are moving away from a phased re-entry approach with 57 percent of respondents of the June 2021 survey reporting plans to phase employees backin, compared to 70 percent in March.
- Vaccination Policies: More businesses have decided not to mandate the COVID-19 vaccine since March, now with more than two-thirds of respondents reporting they do not plan to mandate the vaccine for office re-entry.
- Mask Policies: Majority of respondents (46 percent) stated they plan to follow CDC guidelines in that unvaccinated employees are required to wear masks and it being optional for vaccinated employees. Twenty-four percent of respondents stated all employees are required to wear masks at all times.
- Hybrid Workforce:Majority (77 percent) of respondents stated they are planning a hybrid office for the future, which is consistent to March’s survey findings. In the June 2021 survey, majority stated they will have employees in office 2-3 days a week and remote the remainder of the week.
- Obstacles: In March, 34 percent of survey respondents predicted there would be conflict regarding return-to-office policies. This number has grown slightly as re-entry dates get closer, with 39 percent now anticipating conflict between staff and executives.
