175,000 Jobs Added
In April, the BLS jobs report revealed a modest increase in job gains with main gains in health care, social assistance and transportation and warehousing.
3.9% Unemployment Rate
The unemployment rate edged up slightly from 3.8% to 3.9%, still remaining below 4% for 26 consecutive months. This marks the longest continuous period since the late 1960s.
62.7% Labor Force Participation Rate
The labor force participation rate remained unchanged over last month, coming in at 62.7%. A good sign for hiring companies with more talent entering the jobs market.
