Your responsibilities will span regulatory compliance, financial crime compliance (FCC), corporate governance, enterprise risk management, internal controls and internal audit. You’ll collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to provide strategic sourcing services and maintain efficient controls to manage organizational and strategic risks. This is a hybrid, contract role and will pay between $65-70/hour.
Risk Manager Responsibilities:
- Lead and grow a team focused on financial risk management and compliance
- Provide guidance and mentorship to 3 financial risk analysts
- Offer expertise related to regulatory compliance, FCC, corporate governance and internal controls
- Assist organizations in maintaining effective and efficient financial controls
- Assess and manage financial risks across various areas within this financial services industry
- Develop strategies to mitigate risks and enhance organizational resilience
- Work closely with global banking, capital markets, asset management and insurance teams
- Provide integrated advisory, assurance, tax and transaction services
- Keep abreast of modern technology advancements and apply them to problem-solving
- Leverage technology for continuous learning and service improvement
Risk Manager Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in a finance, accounting, business or related field
- 5+ years prior experience in financial risk management, compliance or related roles
- Relevant certifications (e.g., Certified Risk Manager, Certified Financial Crime Specialist) are preferred
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication, interpersonal and collaboration skills
- Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, Power Bi preferred
