This position will handle month-end close processes, managing daily accounting operations and fulfilling both monthly and annual reporting requirements. The ideal candidate will excel in a fast-paced environment, providing accurate and timely accounting work while maintaining compliance with internal policies and external regulations. Targeting a base salary of $80,000-$90,000.
Senior Accountant Responsibilities:
- Managing books and records for multiple locations
- Participate in month-end close, review journal entries, maintain the general ledger and prepare financial packages
- Perform monthly and annual reporting, ensure adherence to internal policies and external standards
- Supervise accounting operations including AP and AR, create internal policies and coordinate with external tax accountants
- Prepare variance analysis on monthly financial statements, provide actionable insights
- Assist in year-end data gathering and balance sheet analysis
- Ensure accurate and timely accounting while managing multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Senior Accountant Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field
- 3+ years of accounting experience in real estate or investment management
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards
- Proficient in Yardi
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving and organizational skills
- Strong leadership and team management abilities
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
