They are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Accountant to join our their accounting team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and performing various accounting tasks, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial records and supporting the company's financial objectives. The Senior Accountant will play a critical role in preparing financial statements, managing budgets and ensuring compliance with industry regulations.
Senior Accountant Responsibilities:
- Month-end close activities including reviews with project management for a large number of projects
- Preparation of journal entries to adjust revenue, job cost and allocate indirect cost
- Assist with the weekly 17-week cash flow forecast and reporting
- Report on actual versus targeted financial results, and provide variance analysis
- Assist in preparing quarterly and annual external reports including 10-Ks and 10-Qs
- Ensure integrity of internal controls in compliance with SOX and company policies and procedures
- Support the budgeting and forecasting process
- Comfortable interacting with mid-level and senior leadership
- Use various financial systems to include Viewpoint, Power BI and customer applications
- Seek opportunities for efficiencies in systems and processes including thorough collaboration with other teams and business partners
- Assist in the automation of repetitive data aggregation and manipulation tasks to enable greater focus on value-add analysis, support change initiatives and special projects related to systems and processes to improve efficiency
Senior Accountant Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- CPA or intention to obtain CPA
- 3+ years of experience, ideally in public accounting or working for a large public company
- Experience with large ERP required (i.e. Oracle, SAP, NetSuite, etc.)
- Experience with ASC842, Construction Accounting or Fixed Assets a plus
- Proficiency with Excel required, specifically PivotTables and VLOOKUPs
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment
- Ability to work on a team required
- Strong written and verbal communication required
