This role is a long-term Contract Opportunity, and the expectation is for this person to be able to work on-site in Chicago and the neighboring suburbs, every day. Important note: we cannot support C2C employment for this search.
Senior Network Administrator Responsibilities:
- Implement, manage and optimize network and routing and switching protocols within a Cisco environment, ensuring high performance and reliability
- Administer and optimize Cisco firewalls and Firepower services, ensuring stringent security measures and efficient traffic management
- Oversee and manage the VMware virtual server environment, ensuring optimal configuration, performance and security
- Administer HP Storage Area Networks (SANs), ensuring data availability, integrity and performance across storage solutions
- Conduct comprehensive disaster recovery testing to validate and refine business continuity plans, ensuring minimal downtime and data loss in emergency scenarios
- Provide expertise in managing Azure services including Storage, Data Lake and the building of Data Landing and Management Zones. Additionally, offer strong knowledge in Azure networking, security and storage services to support and enhance cloud infrastructure management
- Switch replacement, Exchange On-Prem Server Project, Patch Management, MAM/MDM deployment, etc.
Senior Network Administrator Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience working with the following:
- Cisco Based Tools Technologies (Routers, Switches, Firewalls, and LAN/WAN)
- Azure (Storage, Data Lakes, Azure Networking, and/or Zones)
- Windows Servers (2016 – 2022) and Office/Microsoft 365
- VMWare (7.5+; Virtual Servers)
- Independent worker; Self-starter
- Bachelor’s Degree
