The Senior Accountant will play a key role on their financial team, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial records, managing month-end close processes and providing insightful analysis to support decision-making. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in Great Plains (Microsoft Dynamics GP), excellent attention to detail and the ability to thrive in a creative and fast-paced environment.
Senior Accountant Responsibilities:
- Oversee the general ledger and ensure all financial transactions are accurately recorded in Great Plains. Perform account reconciliations and month-end close processes
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, cash flow statements and variance analysis
- Manage accounts payable and receivable functions, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices, payments and collections
- Assist in the development of budgets and forecasts, providing variance analysis and supporting strategic financial planning
- Monitor and analyze job costing related to set design projects, providing insights into cost management and profitability
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations, company policies and procedures. Assist with internal and external audits
Senior Accountant Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field
- 5+ years of progressive experience in accounting, with 2+ years in a senior or lead role
- Proficiency in Great Plains (Microsoft Dynamics GP) is mandatory
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards
- Advanced Excel skills and experience with financial analysis tools
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced, creative environment
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
