As an Accounts Payable Analyst, you will be a key member of their finance team, responsible for managing the full-cycle accounts payable process. You will work closely with internal teams, vendors and stakeholders to ensure the timely and accurate processing of invoices, payments and reconciliations. This role requires a strong analytical mindset, attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving to help optimize our client’s financial operations.
Accounts Payable Analyst Responsibilities:
- Receive, review and process vendor invoices in compliance with company policies and procedures
- Prepare and execute payment runs (ACH, wire transfers, checks) while ensuring proper authorization and documentation
- Reconcile accounts payable transactions, including vendor statements, and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with vendors; address and resolve inquiries regarding billing and payment issues
- Review and process employee expense reports, ensuring compliance with company policies
- Assist in month-end and year-end close processes, including preparing journal entries and reconciling AP sub-ledger to the general ledger
- Generate and analyze AP reports to identify trends, discrepancies and opportunities for process improvement
- Ensure all accounts payable activities comply with internal controls, accounting standards and audit requirements
- Proactively identify opportunities to improve accounts payable processes and implement best practices to enhance efficiency and accuracy
Accounts Payable Analyst Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field
- 2+ years of experience in accounts payable, preferably within a fintech or tech company
- Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, Oracle) and Microsoft Excel (v-lookups, pivot tables, etc.)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret and present financial data
