We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Provider Enrollment Specialist to join our client’s team. This role is crucial in managing the enrollment and credentialing processes for providers, overseeing billing systems and maintaining essential provider files. The ideal candidate will be professional, customer-focused and capable of handling a range of administrative tasks to support our client’s practice.
Provider Enrollment Specialist Responsibilities:
- Coordinate Medicare and Medicaid enrollment/re-enrollment and managed care credentialing and contracting processes for providers
- Serve as the administrator for the billing system, providing support to practices with system-related issues
- Maintain and update NPI files and provider numbers to ensure accuracy and compliance
- Act as a liaison between patients, insurance carriers, billing vendors and practice personnel, addressing inquiries and resolving issues in a professional manner
- Monitor accounts receivable to ensure appropriate levels are maintained and review payments to maximize reimbursement
- Communicate effectively with patients, insurance carriers, billing vendors and practice staff regarding patient accounts and billing matters
Provider Enrollment Specialist Requirements:
- Proven experience in Medicare and Medicaid enrollment, credentialing or a related field
- Familiarity with billing systems and provider credentialing processes
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
- Proficiency in relevant software and systems
