Their dedicated teams are on the ground in manufacturing plants and warehouses, ensuring that every product is built to spec, meets the highest quality standards and is delivered on time. 

We are seeking a motivated Project Engineer to lead product design, testing and review processes for upcoming projects. This newly created role will report directly to the Director of Operations and will be integral in transforming concepts into final products while collaborating with various teams throughout the product lifecycle. The ideal candidate will possess a solid engineering background and thrive in a fast-paced environment. 

Project Engineer Responsibilities:

  • Review initial concepts, develop product designs, coordinate testing and establish specifications for materials, manufacturing and testing
  • Lead projects from concept to launch, ensuring seamless progression through all stages of the product lifecycle
  • Contribute to the technical aspects of projects, encompassing product design, verification and validation
  • Transform user needs and customer input into well-defined design requirements and concepts  
  • Create and document design concepts utilizing 3D CAD software and rapid prototyping methodologies
  • Define specifications for device components, assemblies, packaging and labeling
  • Collaborate with internal and external teams to develop and implement new product introduction (NPI) and manufacturing engineering processes
  • Troubleshoot and resolve any issues arising during the product development process  
  • Maintain compliance with FDA regulations and industry best practices
  • Work closely with the management team and other key stakeholders to identify and  
    execute initiatives that align with the business strategy
  • Participate in and lead brainstorming sessions to generate creative ideas and innovative solutions for product design and development

Project Engineer Requirements: 
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
  • 1+ years of experience in a similar role; internships and relevant projects are welcome. Preferably within the medical device or FDA-regulated device industry 
  • Proficiency in full product lifecycle management from design to launch 
  • Experience in AutoCAD, SolidWorks or Pro-E 
  • Basic knowledge of FDA regulations and medical device industry standards. Experience with injection molding  
  • Strong analytical, logical and engineering skills 
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills
