Our client, a large building distributor, is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Supply Chain Manager to drive operational excellence across their supply chain network. In this role, you will optimize supply chain performance, enhance productivity and deliver value to customers. You will play a critical role in transforming how our client manages sourcing, inventory, logistics and distribution for their extensive range of building products.
As the Senior Supply Chain Manager, you will utilize your strategic mindset and analytical expertise to streamline processes, reduce costs and improve service levels while fostering a culture of continuous improvement. This is an exciting opportunity for a supply chain leader to contribute directly to the growth and profitability of our client’s business. This role is hybrid, with 1-2 days per week to work from home.
Senior Supply Chain Manager Responsibilities:
- Lead the development and execution of supply chain strategies, ensuring alignment with business goals and customer needs
- Oversee sourcing, procurement, inventory management and logistics operations across a large, multi-site distribution network
- Optimize supplier relationships, negotiate contracts and manage vendor performance to ensure quality and cost-effectiveness
- Drive supply chain process improvements through data analysis, performance metrics and the implementation of industry best practices
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders including Sales, Finance and Operations to ensure seamless supply chain integration and customer satisfaction
- Forecast demand, manage inventory levels and reduce lead times while maintaining service levels to meet customer requirements
- Implement technology solutions that enhance visibility, efficiency and scalability within the supply chain
- Monitor market trends, risks and opportunities to anticipate changes and proactively adjust supply chain strategies
Senior Supply Chain Manager Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics or a related field (MBA or advanced degree preferred)
- 10+ years of supply chain management experience, ideally within the building products, plastics or construction materials sector
- Strong negotiation and vendor management expertise with a deep understanding of sourcing, procurement and logistics
- Proficiency in supply chain software, ERP systems and data analytics tools
- Excellent communication, project management and problem-solving skills
