Patient Access Specialist Responsibilities:
- Welcome and register patients for various hospital services, ensuring accurate and complete documentation
- Verify insurance coverage and collect payments or co-pays
- Schedule appointments and manage follow-up communications
- Provide clear, helpful answers to patients' questions about hospital procedures, billing and insurance
- Coordinate with hospital departments to ensure efficient patient flow and communication
Patient Access Specialist Requirements:
- Experience in customer service or a patient-facing role. Healthcare experience is a big plus!
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to juggle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication skills—you love helping others and solving problems
- Experience with medical insurance verification and hospital systems is a plus
