Head of Practice Management Responsibilities:
- Lead the practice management function by developing and executing strategies aimed at improving the operational and financial performance of partner RIAs
- Increase margins at firms on average by 5% in the first 12 months of acquisitions through an increased share of wallet capture, increased service efficiency and increased retention
- Work closely with partner firms to understand their challenges, goals and unique business models, providing customized solutions to enhance growth, client retention and operational efficiency
- Design and implement programs that help RIAs grow their businesses, including client acquisition strategies, succession planning and advisory team development
- Standardize and share best practices across partner firms, ensuring consistency and alignment with the firm’s goals for delivering exceptional client experiences
- Evaluate and recommend technology solutions to streamline operations, enhance reporting and improve client service delivery across firms
- Provide hands-on coaching, training and mentorship to RIA principals and staff to ensure they are equipped with the skills and knowledge to run efficient and successful practices
- Partner with internal teams such as marketing, operations and technology to align initiatives that support the practice management objectives
Head of Practice Management Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree required; MBA preferred
- 10+ years of experience in the financial services industry, with significant experience in the RIA or wealth management sector
- Proven leadership experience in practice management, business consulting or operations within an RIA aggregator or wealth management firm
- Must have experience in a startup or high-growth environment
- In-depth understanding of the wealth management industry, financial planning services and regulatory requirements for RIAs
- Expertise in leveraging technology to enhance operational efficiencies
- Proven ability to drive business growth and operational improvements in advisory practices
