Our client, a mission-driven organization, is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Entry Level Accounting Assistant to join their growing team. You’ll be part of a tight-knit team of five, working closely with the Controller, Assistant Controller, Accounting Manager, AP Clerk and AR Clerk. This is a collaborative environment where you'll have the opportunity to be a “sponge,” learning everything from foundational accounting processes to higher-level functions. As you gain confidence and experience, you’ll be entrusted with more responsibility and opportunities to grow.

Entry Level Accounting Assistant Responsibilities:

  • Support the Accounts Payable Clerk with credit card processing and coding invoices to the General Ledger (GL)
  • Post journal entries for various accounts (e.g., prepaids, fixed assets)
  • Help maintain the chart of accounts and manage cash flow
  • Assist with bank reconciliations and other administrative tasks as needed
  • Gain hands-on experience across multiple areas of accounting, from payables to financial reporting
  • Work with industry-leading tools like NetSuite and Certify to streamline processes

Entry Level Accounting Assistant Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
  • A passion for working in a mission-based organization
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • A self-starter who’s excited to learn and grow
  • A team player with a positive, collaborative attitude
