Systems Administrator Responsibilities:
- Supervise and maintain IT infrastructure and networks to achieve optimal performance and availability
- Implement best practices to ensure system security and integrity
- Monitor system performance, apply updates/patches and conduct preventative maintenance
- Manage patch management, log monitoring and troubleshooting to minimize disruptions
- Provide technical support, troubleshoot issues and address escalation tickets
- Deploy and manage hardware (PCs, laptops, printers) and virtual/physical servers
- Conduct hardware and software installations, including account setup, change management and planned maintenance
- Lead and participate in IT projects to introduce systems, solutions and new technologies aligned with business needs
- Collaborate with vendors and service providers to resolve technical issues and implement upgrades
Systems Administrator Requirements:
- 3+ years of experience in IT administration, network engineering or related roles
- Proficiency in Windows administration, including Windows 10 & 11, Server 2022, Azure, AWS, Office 365, file storage and print services
- Strong skills in Active Directory, DNS, DHCP and Group Policy management
- Familiarity with Microsoft Systems Center Configuration Manager (SCCM) and Intune
- Experience with server virtualization technologies such as VMware and Hyper-V
- Extensive knowledge of firewalls, switches, routers and wireless networks
- Understanding of Identity Management Systems like OKTA
- Knowledge of network protocols, hardware and software
- Experience with Cybersecurity tools and protocols
- Preferred Certifications: Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate, VMware Certified Professional (VCP), CompTIA Network+, CompTIA Security+
- Ability to manage multiple projects, adhere to deadlines, pay attention to detail and quickly learn new skills
- Adaptability and flexibility in handling new challenges
