This role is hybrid in office 3 days per week, will oversee a team of 3 direct reports and is budgeted up to a base of $145,000 with additional target bonus.
Corporate Accounting Manager Responsibilities:
- Manage a team of 3-5 accounting specialists handling accounts receivable, collections and related activities
- Oversee the full accounts receivable lifecycle, including invoicing, cash application, customer account reconciliations and collections
- Analyze AR aging reports and implement strategies to minimize outstanding balances and bad debt
- Collaborate with sales, operations and other stakeholders to resolve billing and collection issues
- Develop and monitor key performance metrics for the AR function
- Implement process improvements and automation to drive efficiency
- Prepare monthly AR reports and forecasts for management review
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal controls
- Provide leadership, coaching and professional development for the AR team
Corporate Accounting Manager Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field
- 5+ years of progressive experience in corporate accounting, with 2+ years in an accounts receivable or collections management role
- Strong understanding of accounts receivable, credit and collections best practices
- Excellent communication, problem-solving and analytical skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
- Proficient in using ERP systems and financial reporting tools
- CPA or MBA preferred
