The Inventory Analyst will lead inventory system activities within the Supply Chain Department for our client and act as a key liaison between Supply Chain, Information Technology and Accounting. This role is responsible for organizing, optimizing and maintaining inventory systems, ensuring accurate data reporting and providing training on procurement and inventory management tools. The Inventory Analyst is also responsible for offering strategic insights on inventory processes and collaborating on system upgrades and process improvements.

Inventory Analyst Responsibilities:

  • Lead the organization, implementation and optimization of all inventory-related data systems within the company
  • Serve as the primary liaison between Supply Chain, Accounting and Information Technology for all procurement, ERP, and inventory system needs
  • Coordinate with Operational Leaders and end-users to enhance reporting capabilities using inventory systems
  • Manage data collection, analysis, interpretation and reporting using D365 ERP, vendor inventory management platforms and internal business intelligence tools
  • Develop and deliver training programs to stakeholders to improve data collection and inventory management performance
  • Build and maintain complex spreadsheets integrating data from multiple systems to facilitate decision-making
  • Drive system upgrades and enhancements in partnership with Information Technology, Accounting and Finance to resolve system issues independently
  • Provide strategic feedback to operational leaders and the supply chain team on the connection between inventory data and financial processes
  • Recommend process and technology improvements to enhance inventory levels and reimbursement
  • Gather, compile and analyze inventory cost data and make process improvement recommendations
  • Uphold high standards of customer service when interacting with internal and external stakeholders
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Inventory Analyst Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree required, with a preference for Accounting or Inventory Management emphasis
  • 4+ years of experience in healthcare inventory or a related field
  • High proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, Access and PowerPoint)
  • Experience with D365 ERP is preferred
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to delegate tasks to both professional and clerical staff
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, taking on leadership or supporting roles as needed
  • Expertise in inventory management systems and processes
  • Ability to develop training materials and deliver effective training to system users
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, particularly in data integration and interpretation
  • Strong communication and customer service skills, capable of interacting effectively with staff, vendors and system users
  • This role operates in a professional office setting, frequently using standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines
