The ideal candidate will combine deep financial analysis skills with technical proficiency in Workday Financial Management to drive process improvements and deliver valuable insights to stakeholders.
This role is budgeted up to a base salary of $125,000 and will be back in the office in Arlington Heights two days a week.
Workday – Senior Financial Analyst Responsibilities:
- Lead financial reporting and analysis using Workday Financial Management tools
- Design and implement custom reports, dashboards and financial workflows in Workday
- Partner with stakeholders to optimize Workday financial processes and configurations
- Conduct monthly close activities, variance analysis and financial forecasting
- Develop and maintain financial models for business planning and decision support
- Drive process automation and improvements through Workday's capabilities
- Mentor junior team members on both financial analysis and Workday best practices
Workday – Senior Financial Analyst Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or related field
- 5+ years of progressive financial analysis experience
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with Workday Financial Management
- Advanced Excel skills and experience with financial modeling
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial controls
- Experience with month-end close processes and reporting
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Master's degree in Finance, Business Administration or related field preferred
- Workday Financial Management certification a plus
- Experience with Workday system implementations or major upgrades a plus
- Knowledge of SQL and financial data analysis tools preferred
- CPA or other relevant professional certification preferred
