Director of Mechanical Engineering Responsibilities:
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to the team, supporting the growth and development of junior staff
- Lead complex, large-scale projects, establishing and communicating project scope, schedules and work plans
- Oversee staff utilization to ensure timely, on-budget project completion and conduct QA/QC reviews for design accuracy
- Serve as a technical advisor, offering guidance on design calculations and project execution
- Cultivate and maintain client relationships, contributing to proposal development and project planning
Director of Mechanical Engineering Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering is required. Will look at EE degrees
- IL PE license is required
- 15+ years related technical experience is required. (HVAC/Electrical or Plumbing)
- AutoCAD/Revit is required
- 5+ years leadership is required
- Experience with budgets is preferred
