Our client, located in Nashville is looking for a remote Revenue Manager to join their team. The ideal candidate will have healthcare experience, coupled with a CPA and at least two busy seasons in audit. 

Revenue Manager Responsibilities:

  • Conduct monthly financial reviews for a portfolio of hospitals, including net revenues, bad debt expenses, cost report reserves and the valuation of accounts receivable
  • Prepare annual Medicare and Medicaid cost reports
  • Oversee Medicare and Medicaid audits, appeals and reopenings for prior year cost reports
  • Identify potential reimbursement opportunities, such as Medicare geographic reclassification, Disproportionate Share, Medicare rural hospital designations, state and local governmental funding programs, Medicaid rate setting, and other critical reimbursement areas
  • Manage projects related to reimbursement and other net revenue initiatives
  • Monitor state Medicaid legislative and regulatory changes
  • Communicate with Medicare and Medicaid intermediaries to resolve issues
  • Develop analytical tools and management reports, including profitability models, financial indicator reports and mandatory review checklists

Revenue Manager Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
  • CPA designation or completion of all four parts of the CPA exam
  • 2–3 years of experience in accounting
  • Recent experience with a CPA firm
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Effective task management capabilities
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in Excel
  • Experience with regulatory review analysis
