In this role, you will be responsible for facilitating the efficient procurement process within our client’s healthcare organization. Your duties will include generating and disseminating end-of-day productivity reports to managerial staff, managing purchase requests for designated regions and ensuring the timely processing of all requests.
This is an onsite position in Schaumberg, IL and has the potential to extend/ convert for the right candidate!
Buyer Responsibilities:
- Generate and communicate end-of-day productivity reports to management
- Process purchase requests for assigned regions, ensuring timely processing and resolution of any issues
- Manage urgent requests and address delivery delays by sourcing alternative solutions
- Monitor email correspondence and promptly respond to inquiries from vendors and facilities
- Handle product returns efficiently to minimize costs and expenses
- Resolve exceptions in procurement systems and ensure data integrity
- Conduct research on discontinued items using departmental tools and systems
- Assist in training new team members and contribute to process improvement initiatives
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement procurement-related opportunities
Buyer Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, healthcare management or related field preferred, but not required
- Previous experience in procurement or supply chain management within a healthcare setting is highly preferred
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and procurement software
- Knowledge of healthcare regulations and compliance standards
- Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and efficiency
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to be onsite 4-5 days a week
