The VP of Finance will oversee the financial operations of the organization and work closely with global teams. This is a hands-on leadership role that requires strong P&L management, strategic financial planning, and a deep understanding of digital transformation in finance. The position demands flexibility and agility in working across multiple time zones, as parts of the finance team sit in Europe & Asia. The VP will also be responsible for understanding and managing the company’s diverse sales channels and business model, which includes:
- E-Commerce: A strong digital presence, with a significant portion of sales generated through major online marketplaces and direct-to-consumer platforms.
- Retail & Distribution: Products are available in select premium retail locations and through an extensive distribution network.
- B2B Market: Expanding presence in commercial sectors, including corporate offices, educational institutions, and healthcare facilities.
This comprehensive knowledge of various sales channels and business strategies will be crucial in driving financial growth and aligning finance strategies with the company's overall business objectives.
VP of Finance Responsibilities:
- Lead financial strategy, planning, and analysis to drive profitability and growth
- Manage P&L with a strong ability to analyze financial statements and spreadsheets
- Collaborate with IT to support the digitalization of reporting and broader digital transformation initiatives
- Provide financial leadership and mentorship to a globally distributed finance team
- Partner closely with the CEO to provide financial insights, challenge leadership when necessary, and navigate a fast-paced, demanding environment
- Conduct bottom-line analyses on the product portfolio to optimize profitability
- Ensure quick but thoughtful decision-making aligned with the company’s strategic objectives
- Be prepared to respond to market dynamics swiftly, leveraging business opportunities in real-time
VP of Finance Requirements:
- Experience on the Senior Manager, Director, VP, or CFO level within the durable goods, consumer electronics, or appliances industry (CPG backgrounds may also be considered)
- Strong P&L management skills with a hands-on approach to financial analysis
- Global experience required (beyond U.S./Canada, particularly in Europe and Asia)
- Digital/e-commerce expertise is a plus
