The Human Resources Generalist will support the human resources initiatives at one of the corporation's largest facilities. The responsibilities will range from managing employee relations issues, to helping drive professional development programs. The ideal candidate will bring previous human resources experience in a manufacturing environment.
This position is based full-time in Urbana, Ohio.
Human Resources Generalist Responsibilities:
- Address and mediate any employee conflicts or issues related to behavior, performance or workplace conditions
- Drive practices and programs that create and sustain an employee-oriented, high-performance, inclusive and engaging culture
- Manage and document employee discipline, including warnings, suspensions and terminations, in compliance with company policies
- Coordinate and support ongoing training programs, including safety, skills development and leadership training for employees
- Assist in performance evaluations, identifying development opportunities and implementing improvement plans for underperforming employees
- Help identify high-potential employees and work with management on career development and succession planning within the manufacturing environment
- Maintain accurate HR records, including employee files, certifications and compliance documentation
Human Resources Generalist Requirements:
- BA in human resources or similar degree required
- 2+ years of human resources experience
- Manufacturing industry experience required
- Experience managing employee relations
- Proven experience supporting professional development programs
