Plant Controller Responsibilities:
- Oversee financial reporting, including monthly, quarterly, and annual statements, ensuring compliance with corporate policies and GAAP
- Provide financial analysis and insights on key performance indicators, material and variable margins, inventory, and overhead spend
- Review journal entries, account reconciliations, and maintain strong internal accounting controls
- Partner with senior leadership to advise on business strategies, operational decisions and strategic investments
- Lead financial planning processes, including annual budgeting, long-range forecasting, and financial modeling
- Manage capital planning, ROI analysis, and post-project financial audits
- Support ERP system implementation and improve financial visibility for new product development
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives and implement best practices across the business unit
- Develop and mentor a team of four, fostering a culture of ownership and accountability
Plant Controller Requirements:
- 8+ years of manufacturing industry experience (preference for candidates with plant/site-level finance experience, not just corporate)
- Strong understanding of operations and supply chain, with the ability to work cross-functionally.
- Hands-on approach, comfortable working at both strategic and tactical levels in a business that operates with a high degree of autonomy
- Proven leadership experience, including direct people management
- Stable work history—seeking someone committed to staying in the role for at least three years
