BLS Update – June Employment Trends

As we dial into the June BLS jobs report, we’re looking at key takeaways and what they mean for businesses and job seekers.

206,000 Jobs Added 

In June, the U.S. economy again added slightly more jobs than expected with the main gains concentrated in government, health care, social assistance and construction.

4.1% Unemployment Rate 

The unemployment rate edged up slightly from 4.0% to 4.1%, tied for the highest level since October 2021.

62.6% Labor Force Participation Rate 

The labor force participation rate increased slightly from 62.5% to 62.6%.
