Advice from LaSalle Network’s Female Executives

Business Women’s Day has been celebrated for over 70 years, commemorating the important legacy and contributions of female professionals. With so many historic female leaders paving the way for new professionals, we’re proud to be learning from our very own. This Business Women’s Day, we are celebrating some of LaSalle Network’s female executives and sharing their advice on how to excel in your career.

Sirmara Campbell, Chief Human Resources Officer

Sirmara joined LaSalle Network in 1999, one year after the company’s inception, as an entry-level office assistant, after graduating from high school.

She grew up on the West Side of Chicago in the Austin neighborhood with limited access to opportunities and educational resources. She knew a strong work ethic and education would be her keys to a better future. Putting herself through college while working at LaSalle, she worked 40-50 hours a week on top of a full course load. On her rise to the top, Sirmara worked nearly every role in the company from office manager, to executive assistant, to bookkeeper and payroll manager before finding her role within HR.

Sirmara has become a thought leader to follow, contributing her expertise to Entrepreneur magazine, SHRM, Workforce magazine, CNBC, and speaking at conferences across the country.  She was named an honoree of Crain’s Chicago Business’ 2020 most “Notable Leaders in HR,” The Daily Herald Business Ledger’s “Influential Women in Business,” Workforce Magazine’s “Game Changers,” and Diversity Journal’s “Women Worth Watching.”

Maureen Hoersten, Chief Operating Officer

Maureen started at LaSalle 17 years ago right after graduating from the University of Iowa as an entry-level salesperson in our suburban office. She quickly grew her role, beginning to bring in large client accounts and helped to establish our sales process.

Throughout her tenure, Maureen has helped build out new lines of business and service offerings, new offices, and has earned 6 promotions to her current role of Chief Operating Officer, growing from overseeing our sales team to now overseeing all sales and recruiting efforts.

Maureen has shared her expertise with Fast Company, Entrepreneur, CNBC, Inc. magazine and has been named  among Chicago Business Journal’s “Women of Influence,” Staffing Industry Analysts’ “Global Power 150 – Women in Staffing,” and Diversity Journal’s “Women Worth Watching.”

Maureen achieved all this while starting and growing her family with two adorable daughters. As the youngest of seven children, she shares advice on how to stand out and make an impact.

Krisi Rossi O’Donnell, Chief Recruiting Strategist

Krisi started at LaSalle Network as an office assistant 15 years ago and earned 10 promotions to become our Chief Recruiting Strategist.

She has helped shape nearly every group in the company and has shaped the company’s direct-hire recruiting strategy, helping LaSalle achieve sustained growth. She revolutionized LaSalle Network’s approach to recruiting, creating a department that is one of LaSalle’s competitive advantages in the marketplace.

Even though Krisi is responsible for overseeing a team of more than 30 and is a mother to two young children, she makes time to serve as a resource and mentor to so many LaSallians.

It’s no surprise to see her speak at conferences, be quoted by magazines like Inc. and Fast Company, or to see her as an honoree of Chicago Business Journal’s “Women of Influence.”

Lauren Breslin, Vice President of Sales

Lauren began at LaSalle in 2011 as a Business Development Manager looking to join a company where she could learn, grow and make an impact right away. In her tenure, Lauren has brought in some of our largest client accounts to-date, and has built out a robust sales team that helps us achieve the organic revenue growth we’ve experienced annually since inception in 1998.

Lauren has earned 5 promotions, rising to her current role as Vice President, Sales.

She manages a large sales team across multiple offices comprised of individuals with varying professional backgrounds, and in the last year, she led her team to achieve individual all-time highs.

Devan Hines, Vice President of Recruiting

Devan joined LaSalle after graduating from the University of Iowa as an entry-level project manager on our call center/customer service recruiting team.

Her intense passion and competitive spirit led her to climb the ranks quickly, earning 7 promotions in 9 years, now overseeing a large portion of our temporary recruiting efforts. She has seen great personal and professional growth, winning multiple LaSalle Network awards, as well as being recognized by the Daily Herald Business Ledger on its list of “Influential Women in Business.”

As a female leader at LaSalle, Devan has mentored many women to help them achieve their full potential. This year alone under her mentorship, seven of her direct reports were promoted into leadership positions and two of her direct reports were given oversight of additional groups within LaSalle. Throughout her time at LaSalle, she has also gotten married and is expecting her first child!

Jody Kasza, Vice President of Recruiting

Jody joined LaSalle Network as Vice President of Recruiting, overseeing our suburban offices. No stranger to our CEO, Jody and Tom worked together at a staffing firm before LaSalle’s inception!

With her roots deep in staffing and recruiting, Jody has assisted in the development of workforce solutions for thousands of clients in previous roles, and oversaw all facets of the RPO business, including strategy and execution. At LaSalle, Jody oversees two offices, six teams and more than 40 people.

Having joined LaSalle to help lead existing teams, Jody shares advice on how to do it efficiently.
