Accounting Manager Responsibilities:
- Manage accounting and reporting for capitalized software projects, ensuring compliance with internal policies and U.S. GAAP
- Partner closely with IT, Finance, and Project Management teams to monitor project costs and ensure accurate capitalization and amortization
- Oversee the month-end and year-end close processes related to capitalized software and fixed assets
- Develop and maintain internal controls and documentation for capital asset processes
- Analyze and interpret financial results, providing actionable insights and recommendations to leadership
- Lead and mentor a small team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance environment
- Serve as a key liaison for internal and external audits related to capital assets and IT project accounting
- Identify and implement process improvements to increase accuracy and efficiency in reporting
- Support special projects and strategic initiatives across the finance organization
Accounting Manager Qualifications:
- 6+ years of related accounting experience
- Strong knowledge of capital assets and IT finance
- Prior experience in a leadership or management role
- CPA certification is a plus
- Exceptional communication, presentation, and internal consulting skills
- Proficiency in financial systems and tools
