Benefits Specialist Responsibilities:
- Administer and manage comprehensive benefits plans, including health, dental, vision and 403(b) plans
- Oversee FMLA administration, troubleshoot employee inquiries, and provide exceptional customer service
- Guide employees through the benefits enrollment process during weekly orientations
- Act as the go-to liaison between employees and vendors, resolving benefits-related concerns with ease
- Assist with onboarding and offboarding, focusing on automating workflows and improving efficiency
- Develop and enhance workflows to elevate the department’s operations
- Work effectively with both union and non-union populations, showcasing adaptability and professionalism
- Utilize PeopleSoft and other systems to support automation and ensure seamless benefits administration
Benefits Specialist Requirements:
- 2+ years in benefits administration with a strong understanding of FMLA processes
- Proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, V-lookups, and data matching) and experience with PeopleSoft is a plus
- Be a detail-oriented, adaptable professional with strong follow-up skills and a passion for helping others
- Be a solutions-driven mindset with the ability to improve processes and workflows
- Experience working with union and non-union environments is a bonus!
