You will be responsible for accurately processing and submitting medical claims, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and optimizing reimbursement for our client’s esteemed institution.
The ideal Billing Specialist will have great communication and computer skills, a professional attitude, strong work ethic and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Billing Specialist Responsibilities:
- Review/resolve insurance statements, adjust accounts per office policy and contract agreements
- Identify insurance payment errors and appeal with medical records or phone calls when necessary
- Work EOBS daily
- Assists with insurance benefit inquiries, eligibility, forms and appeals
- Take payments for outstanding bills and makes payment arrangements upon patient request
- Knowledge of Insurance Claims Processing
- Process Accounts Receivables
Billing Specialist Requirements:
- 1+ years of revenue cycle experience
- Working knowledge and experience with cash handling and payment processing
- Working knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT codes
- Understanding of HIPAA guidelines/regulations
