Compensation Specialist Responsibilities:
- Design, analyze, and implement total rewards programs to ensure competitive and equitable compensation
- Conduct salary benchmarking and market analysis for both hourly and salaried employees
- Develop and maintain compensation structures, pay scales, and incentive plans
- Ensure compliance with FLSA, EEOC, and wage laws while maintaining internal pay equity
- Partner with HR and leadership to align compensation strategies with business objectives
- Provide data-driven insights and recommendations on compensation trends and best practices
- Support international compensation efforts as needed (experience preferred but not required)
Compensation Specialist Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in compensation analysis with a focus on both salaried and hourly employees
- Experience working in smaller organizations where compensation programs are evolving
- Strong proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, data analysis) and HRIS systems
- In-depth knowledge of FLSA, EEOC, wage compliance, total rewards, salary benchmarking and compensation structures
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex compensation data
- Experience with international compensation is a plus but not required
