Controller Responsibilities:
- Prepare and analyze accurate and timely financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets and cash flow statements
- Develop and implement financial plans, budgets and forecasts. Analyze financial data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement
- Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable and payroll
- Establish and maintain strong internal controls to ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements
- Oversee tax compliance, including federal, state and local taxes
- Coordinate with external auditors to ensure smooth and efficient audits
- Lead and mentor a team of accounting professionals
Controller Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- CPA certification preferred
- 5+ years of experience in a Controller or similar role in a manufacturing environment
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and tax regulations
- Advanced proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle)
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
