Controller Responsibilities:
- Oversee all areas of accounting, including monthly close processes, financial reporting, and budgeting
- Lead a team of four direct reports, providing mentorship, guidance, and professional development
- Collaborate cross-functionally with senior leadership, including the VP and Senior Director of Finance, to drive strategic initiatives
- Develop and implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and support organizational growth
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, including preparation and review of Form 990 filings
- Contribute to strategic financial planning to support the organization's growth from $280M to $300M+ in revenue
- Maintain a balance between hands-on involvement and strategic oversight to elevate the team and overall performance
Controller Requirements:
- CPA certification required
- 7+ years of accounting experience, including non-profit accounting and familiarity with Form 990
- 3+ years of management experience, with a proven ability to lead and mentor teams
- Demonstrated success in process improvement and supporting organizational growth
- Experience at the Director, Controller, or CFO level is preferred
- Strong technical accounting skills and a strategic mindset
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
