The Credit Analyst will be responsible for evaluating the financial status and creditworthiness of clients, analyzing credit data and preparing financial reports to assist in decision-making. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, a deep understanding of financial principles and the ability to provide clear and concise recommendations to management.
Credit Analyst Responsibilities:
- Analyze credit data and financial statements to assess the risk of granting loans or extending credit
- Prepare detailed credit reports and present findings to senior management
- Monitor customer accounts for potential risks or changes in creditworthiness
- Collaborate with sales, risk management and other departments to ensure alignment on credit decisions
- Recommend risk mitigation strategies based on credit analysis
- Maintain accurate credit files and ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations
- Review and analyze client payment history to determine future credit limits
- Assist in the development and implementation of credit policies
Credit Analyst Requirements:
- 2+ years of experience in credit analysis experience
- Proficiency in financial modeling and risk assessment
- Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Ability to communicate complex financial information clearly and effectively
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
- Familiarity with credit scoring software is a plus
