Our client, a leader in the travel and hospitality industry, is seeking a Customer Service Representative to join their expanding operations team in downtown Chicago. This is an excellent opportunity for a permanent position with strong growth potential. As part of a dynamic and supportive team, you will help manage customer inquiries, assist with travel package fulfillment and ensure a high-quality experience for clients. Customer Service Representative Responsibilities:
  • Answer incoming calls from customers regarding travel packages, addressing their questions and resolving any issues in a timely manner
  • Provide support for the operations team by preparing documentation, coordinating logistics and ensuring quality control for travel packages
  • Collaborate with internal suppliers to fulfill travel arrangements and ensure all customer requirements are met
  • Perform data entry tasks, maintaining accurate records of customer interactions and trip details
  • Proactively identify and escalate any issues or concerns, ensuring a smooth customer experience
  • Work closely with the sales, travel and operations teams to deliver seamless service to customers
  • Maintain a high level of professionalism and empathy during customer interactions

Customer Service Representative Requirements:
  • No specific degree required; a strong customer service background is preferred
  • 1+ years of experience in a customer service or call center environment, ideally in travel, hospitality or a related industry
  • Comfortable making phone calls, problem-solving and engaging in detailed conversations with customers
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to resolve customer concerns effectively
  • Detail-oriented and organized, with a strong work ethic and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office; Excel skills are a plus
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and eager to learn, with a desire to grow within the travel and hospitality industry
