Data Analyst, Cybersecurity Risk Management Responsibilities:
- Extract and analyze security data from SIEM and other security tools to identify trends, metrics and potential threats
- Utilize SQL, Looker and BigQuery to query, aggregate and visualize large data sets for reporting and decision-making
- Monitor alerts and security events to identify patterns and anomalies, providing actionable insights to enhance security posture
- Collaborate with data warehousing teams to ensure efficient data flow and storage, optimizing the integration of security-related data for analysis
Data Analyst, Cybersecurity Risk Management Requirements:
- Passionate about technology and continuous learning
- Skilled in BI and data visualization with examples of past work
- Enjoys solving complex problems and evaluating solution options
- Quick to learn and adapt to new challenges
- Strong collaborator across all levels
- Process-oriented with excellent data management and QA skills
- Able to translate business needs into effective data models and insights
- Proficient in presenting data through actionable reports
- Experienced with Looker/Google Data Studio
- Excellent communicator
- Bachelor’s Degree in related field with 5+ years of experience OR Master’s Degree in related field with 3+ years of experience
- Strong SQL expertise, Google BigQuery a plus
- Skilled in stored procedures, data evaluation and manipulation
- Experience with reports and dashboards using Looker Studio
- Ability to track metrics, identify trends and analyze incidents over time
- Familiar with CI/CD pipelines
- JavaScript knowledge helpful but not required
- Working with security systems is a plus but not required (SIEM, endpoint protection, etc.)
- Expertise in data warehousing tools required
