We are seeking an experienced Dental Revenue Cycle Manager to lead and manage our client’s dental billing and payment posting processes. This role is critical in ensuring the financial health of our client’s practice by overseeing all aspects of the revenue cycle, from patient registration to collections. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in dental billing, payment posting and managing revenue cycle operations.
Dental Revenue Cycle Manager Responsibilities:
- Oversee the entire dental revenue cycle process, including patient registration, insurance verification, billing, collections and payment posting to optimize revenue flow and ensure accuracy
- Supervise the payment posting team to ensure accurate and timely posting of insurance and patient payments. Review posted payments for accuracy, handle adjustments and resolve any discrepancies
- Monitor claim submissions, denials and resubmissions to ensure timely and complete reimbursement from insurance providers. Work closely with the billing team to reduce claim rejections and denials
- Ensure that insurance benefits are verified, and necessary pre-authorizations are obtained for high-cost treatments and elective procedures
- Oversee patient billing, collections and account reconciliation processes. Implement effective communication strategies to keep patients informed of financial responsibilities
- Generate and analyze revenue cycle reports, including payment trends, outstanding balances and collection performance, to provide insights into financial health and identify areas for improvement
- Ensure all revenue cycle activities comply with dental billing regulations, HIPAA and other relevant standards
- Lead, train and develop a team of billing and payment posting specialists, fostering a positive and productive work environment
- Identify and implement process improvements to streamline revenue cycle workflows, enhance accuracy and increase efficiency
Dental Revenue Cycle Manager Requirements:
- 3+ years of experience in dental revenue cycle management, including billing, payment posting and collections
- Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, finance or a related field preferred; equivalent experience may be considered
- Proficiency in dental billing software, electronic dental record (EDR) systems and Microsoft Office Suite. Experience with Dentrix, EagleSoft or similar systems is preferred
- Strong team management skills, with experience in supervising and developing a team of billing and payment specialists
- Ability to analyze financial data, generate reports and make data-driven decisions to improve revenue performance
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with patients, team members and insurance providers
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail, especially in reviewing payments and managing claims
