Director of IT Responsibilities:
- Act as the primary liaison between IT and business units, ensuring IT services meet operational and strategic business needs
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to analyze system needs, develop application roadmaps and align IT initiatives with business objectives
- Champion change management efforts, driving the adoption of digital tools and technologies
- Define, implement and oversee IT roadmaps to deliver desired business capabilities
- Manage IT projects, including system implementation, upgrades and integrations, while ensuring alignment with corporate strategies
- Negotiate with consultants, vendors and technical personnel to secure services and products
- Ensure seamless communication and collaboration between IT teams and business stakeholders to optimize technology adoption
- Act as the escalation point for IT issues affecting business operations, resolving critical incidents efficiently
- Manage ERP and other software support relationships, including prioritization, work intake and enhancement deployments
- Develop and enforce policies for data accuracy, security and regulatory compliance, including SOX-related controls
- Maintain and test disaster recovery plans to ensure business continuity
- Coordinate with IT function for shared services such as networks, infrastructure, and monitoring tools
- Leverage enterprise software catalogs to support business unit end users
- Support subsidiary or sister companies with IT recommendations and assistance
- Supervise direct reports, consultants, and third-party service providers, including hiring, training and performance appraisals
- Foster teamwork, collaboration and professional development within IT teams
Director of IT Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business Administration or related field
- 10+ years of IT leadership experience, preferably in organizations with revenues over $500 million
- Strong knowledge of ERP systems, with experience in manufacturing environments preferred. Epicor experience is a plus
- Familiarity with CRMs (Salesforce), Data Warehousing/Business Intelligence (Microsoft Fabric) and CAD/CAM software
- Industry experience in construction, manufacturing, Agtech or related fields is highly desirable
- Customer oriented

- Experience fostering teamwork and building collaborative relationships
- Experience managing performance and developing others
- Advanced knowledge of ERP systems, office applications, software for design, database management and HR systems
