As they grow, our client is seeking a dedicated Fixed Assets Accounting Manager to join the team and manage their asset portfolio with precision and insight.

The Fixed Assets Accounting Manager will be responsible for overseeing the company’s fixed asset accounting processes, ensuring accuracy in asset records, compliance with accounting standards and effective management of asset lifecycle. This position will also oversee the accounts payable process. This role is critical to maintaining the integrity of financial statements and supporting ongoing operational efficiency.

 Fixed Assets Accounting Manager Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the accounting for fixed assets, including acquisition, capitalization, depreciation and disposal. Ensure accurate recording and tracking of all fixed assets in accordance with accounting standards (e.g., GAAP)
  • Perform regular reconciliations of fixed asset accounts and resolve discrepancies. Ensure accurate and timely updating of asset records in the accounting system
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting policies and regulatory requirements related to fixed assets. Prepare and review financial reports and schedules for fixed assets
  • Coordinate with internal and external auditors for fixed asset audits. Provide necessary documentation and explanations to address audit queries and findings
  • Identify opportunities for improving fixed asset accounting processes and systems. Develop and implement best practices to enhance efficiency and accuracy
  • Conduct periodic asset valuations and impairment reviews. Ensure proper accounting treatment for asset impairments and revaluations
  • Manage and mentor a team of fixed assets accountants. Provide guidance, training and support to ensure high performance and professional development
  • Work closely with various departments, including procurement, facilities and IT, to ensure accurate asset management and address any asset-related issues

Fixed Assets Accounting Manager Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA or equivalent certification is preferred
  • 5+ years of experience in fixed asset/Accounts Payable accounting, with a strong understanding of asset management and accounting principles. Experience in the fraud protection or technology sector is a plus
  • Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems. Advanced Excel skills are required. Knowledge of fixed asset management software is a plus
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to interpret complex financial data and provide actionable insights
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to present financial information clearly and interact effectively with various stakeholders
  • Proven experience in managing and developing a team. Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
