This role is back in the office three days a week in Chicago Ridge, IL and is budgeted up to a base of $140,000 base salary with 15% target bonus.
As FP&A Manager, you will lead financial planning and analysis initiatives, partnering with leadership to translate business objectives into financial strategies. This role combines technical expertise with business acumen to support our continued expansion in the transportation industry.
FP&A Manager Responsibilities:
- Lead the annual budgeting process and quarterly forecast updates across all business units
- Develop and maintain financial models to analyze business performance and support strategic decisions
- Partner with operations and commercial teams to provide financial insights that drive business outcomes
- Create comprehensive monthly financial packages for executive leadership
- Identify opportunities for margin improvement and cost efficiency
- Lead variance analysis to understand business trends and provide actionable recommendations
- Support ad-hoc financial analysis for strategic initiatives and special projects
- Mentor and develop junior financial analysts on the team
FP&A Manager Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; MBA or CPA preferred
- 5+ years of progressive experience in financial planning and analysis, preferably in transportation or logistics
- SAP experience highly preferred
- MUST have experience leading FY budget preparation prior
- Strong financial modeling skills and advanced proficiency in Excel
- Excellent analytical skills with ability to translate data into strategic insights
- Strong communication skills to effectively partner with cross-functional teams
- Transportation industry knowledge preferred but not required
