LaSalle Network is hiring for a highly regarded third party insurance group, seeking a Health Benefits Specialist to join their Detroit, MI team! The firm brings over 20 years of expertise servicing a variety of industries across the Midwest. Known for their white-glove-service approach, this firm prioritizes integrity and quality in their services.

The Health Benefits Specialist role will be responsible for managing the implementation, onboarding and maintenance of essential accounts. This individual will have both management and individual contributor responsibilities with adequate growth opportunity. The ideal candidate will be highly knowledgeable in benefits administration and PEO and have an entrepreneurial spirit. 

Health Benefits Specialist Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of assigned benefit plans, including enrollment, onboarding, compliance and reporting
  • Develop and implement strategies to ensure client satisfaction
  • Maintain strong relationships with clients
  • Analyze plan data and trends to identify opportunities for cost savings and plan improvements
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with insurance carriers, providers and other vendors
  • Prepare reports for clients on plan performance and trends
  • Contribute to the development and training of your team

Health Benefits Specialist Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related field preferred
  • 5+ years of experience in employee benefits administration within a TPA environment
  • Life and Health license required
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite and benefits administration software (e.g., Benefit Administration Systems)
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
