We are seeking a seasoned HR Generalist to join a close-knit team and play a pivotal role in managing employee relations, recruitment, and HR operations. This position offers the opportunity to work on meaningful projects, build trust within the organization, and develop processes in a fast-paced environment.
HR Generalist Responsibilities:
- Handle complaints, grievances, and leave administration (FMLA, ADA, unpaid leave)
- Manage union relations and grievances (80% of the workforce is covered by a collective bargaining agreement)
- Build trust and foster collaboration within the team
- Oversee recruitment for senior-level management, law, finance analysts, customer service representatives, and entry-level positions
- Partner with hiring managers to ensure a seamless recruitment process
- Develop and implement HR processes in the absence of established SOPs
- Utilize HRIS (NewWorld ERP) and ATS (Frontline Education) to manage HR operations
- Collaborate with key players to navigate organizational culture effectively
HR Generalist Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years in an HR Generalist role (consultant or business partner level)
- Strong background in employee relations, grievances, and leave administration
- Union experience is a plus but not required
- Proficiency in HRIS (NewWorld ERP), ATS (Frontline Education), and Google Suite
- Tech-savvy with the ability to adapt to systems without established SOPs
- Ability to hit the ground running and manage a steep learning curve
- Strong collaboration and teamwork skills
- Effective at navigating organizational culture and working with key stakeholders
