Interim Carbon Portfolio Manager Responsibilities:
- Supporting the development and implementation of a comprehensive strategy for building and enhancing our client’s carbon portfolio
- Closely monitoring carbon market trends, including players, standards, policies and market conditions, to inform portfolio decisions
- Identifying, evaluating and negotiating partnerships with high-quality carbon removal suppliers
- Conducting thorough due diligence on a variety of technologies to ensure alignment with their net-zero goals
- Contributing to the evolution of their net-zero strategy and leveraging portfolio partnerships for broader strategic opportunities
- Actively participating in knowledge-sharing activities and expanding your expertise in carbon markets and removal technologies
Interim Carbon Portfolio Manager Requirements:
- A strong understanding of corporate climate action, including mitigation strategies and net-zero frameworks
- Proven experience in climate finance, voluntary carbon markets or carbon credit value chains
- Deep knowledge of carbon programs and removal technologies, such as direct air capture
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with diverse stakeholders
- A passion for sustainability and a commitment to driving positive climate impact
