Interim Controller Responsibilities:
- Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes
- Oversee general ledger activity, financial reporting, and compliance
- Partner with senior leadership to deliver timely financial insights and analysis
- Manage and mentor the accounting team, ensuring accuracy and efficiency
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management
- Evaluate current processes and implement best practices for scalability and control
Interim Controller Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA preferred
- 8+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience, with prior leadership roles
- Strong real estate or property management industry experience required
- Expertise in GAAP and financial reporting
- Proven ability to step into transitional roles and drive results
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative leadership style
