The responsibilities of the Inventory Analyst include managing inventory items, controlling day-to-day inventory operations, and implementing inventory control protocols. To be successful as an Inventory Analyst, you should be analytical with strong attention to detail. Role requires oversight of material usage variances, cycle count adjustments, ability to generate efficiency reports and collaborate continuous improvements.
Inventory Analyst Responsibilities:
- Drafting inventory reports that document inventory counts, discrepancies, and other statistical data
- Reporting inventory statistics to management and suggesting improvements to inventory control
- Coordinating with other roles and departments to resolve discrepancies between inventory and revenue
- Maintaining SAP inventory and WM system to accurately manage plant inventory
- Allocating inventory to the correct production orders and work centers if needed
- Performs other duties as assigned
Inventory Analyst Requirements:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suites (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or higher (Preferred)
- Strong analytical, time management, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Experience conducting tracking and data analysis
- Experience working with inventory management software and forecasting strategies
- Excellent attention to detail, math, and multi-tasking skills.
- Ability to work overtime and weekends if needed.
