IT Finance and Accounting Manager Responsibilities:
- Mastermind the acquisition of essential IT gear, software, and expert services, ensuring optimal value and strategic alignment
- Lead the charge in managing IT department payments, ensuring accuracy and timeliness that keeps our operations running smoothly
- Steer vendor selection documentation and collaborate with Legal to forge ironclad contracts that safeguard our interests
- Produce insightful monthly financial reports that illuminate performance and guide strategic decisions
- Partner with IT Managers to craft compelling business cases and financial analyses, securing crucial Board of Trustee approvals for strategic investments
- Command the CTS budget and forecast, ensuring resources are allocated strategically and efficiently
- Collaborate with the PMO to build robust project budgets and track expenditures, ensuring projects stay on track and within financial boundaries
- Provide senior management with clear, concise financial updates, showcasing project performance and impact
- Proactively review project costs, manage resource allocation, and analyze variances to maximize project ROI
- Conduct post-implementation reviews to measure financial success and extract valuable lessons learned
- Identify and implement innovative finance and accounting improvements, driving efficiency and effectiveness
- Participate in technology-driven projects that revolutionize financial management and streamline operations
- Manage diverse ad hoc projects, demonstrating adaptability and problem-solving prowess
IT Finance and Accounting Manager Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- Minimum of 10 years of professional experience in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Demonstrated expertise in general accounting principles, monthly close processes, and financial reporting
- Proven ability to develop budgets, forecasts, and business case analyses
- Strong analytical and financial skills
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with stakeholders at all organizational levels
- Proficiency in troubleshooting and root cause analysis
- Experience in leading teams
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Documented history of delivering high-quality solutions within specified timelines
- Experience with process improvement and systems implementation projects
- Advanced proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
- Familiarity with ServiceNow is desirable
