The M&A Finance Consultant will be responsible for providing financial analysis, modeling, and due diligence support for mergers, acquisitions, strategic investments, and other corporate development initiatives. This role requires a strong understanding of financial principles, exceptional analytical skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
M&A Finance Consultant Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain complex financial models for valuation, deal structuring, and scenario analysis
- Conduct thorough financial due diligence, including analyzing financial statements, identifying key risks and opportunities, and preparing due diligence reports
- Assist in the preparation of investment memoranda, presentations, and other materials for senior management and external stakeholders
- Evaluate potential acquisition targets and strategic investment opportunities, providing recommendations based on financial analysis and strategic fit
- Support the negotiation and execution of transactions, working closely with legal, accounting and other advisors
- Monitor and analyze industry trends and competitor activity to identify potential growth opportunities
- Contribute to the development and implementation of corporate development strategies and processes
- Collaborate with internal teams and external advisors to ensure successful transaction execution
- Maintain accurate records and documentation related to corporate development activities
M&A Finance Consultant Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in corporate development, investment banking, private equity, or a related field
- Strong financial modeling and valuation skills, including experience with discounted cash flow (DCF) analysis, comparable company analysis, and precedent transaction analysis
- Excellent understanding of financial accounting principles and financial statement analysis
- Proven experience in conducting financial due diligence and preparing due diligence reports
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex financial information clearly and concisely
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and other financial modeling tools
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy
