As a Managerial-Level AR Specialist, you will be responsible for overseeing the accounts receivable operations, ensuring the timely resolution of outstanding claims, and optimizing revenue cycle processes. You will leverage your expertise in commercial insurance follow-up and leadership skills to drive efficiency, manage a high-performing team, and enhance financial outcomes.
Managerial-level AR Specialist Responsibilities:
- Oversee strategic AR follow-up to ensure timely and accurate reimbursement from commercial insurance payers
- Analyze payer trends and develop action plans to reduce denials and improve cash flow
- Ensure compliance with payer rules, regulations, and contracts
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of 10+ AR specialists, setting clear performance expectations
- Monitor productivity, establish KPIs, and provide coaching to enhance efficiency
- Work cross-functionally with billing, coding, and compliance teams to streamline operations
- Manage captive offshore teams and third-party contract vendors, ensuring adherence to service level agreements
- Conduct vendor performance reviews and recommend process improvements
- Lead process improvement initiatives to optimize revenue cycle workflows
- Identify gaps in AR processes and implement best practices to enhance collections
- Utilize data analytics and reporting tools to track performance and drive operational enhancements
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA, payer policies, and industry regulations
Managerial-level AR Specialist Requirements:
- 5+ years of AR Follow up leadership experience
- Extensive experience in commercial insurance follow-up, payer rules, and strategic AR management
- Proven ability to lead and manage teams of 10+ people in an AR setting
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to navigate complex payer contracts and drive data-driven decisions
- Experience working with captive offshore teams and third-party contract vendors to optimize operations
