 We are seeking a detail-oriented Medical Billing and Coding Specialist to join our client’s team. This role combines coding, billing and patient data management tasks, playing a vital part in supporting our client’s patient care and revenue cycle processes. If you have experience with CPC certification, billing expertise and enjoy working with data systems, we encourage you to apply.

Medical Billing and Coding Specialist Responsibilities:
  • Accurately code diagnoses and procedures using ICD-10, CPT and HCPCS codes to support claims and billing accuracy
  • Use the Center's system to push information out by exporting patient data into a direct message format
  • Organize and transfer patient data into a database, ensuring accuracy and completeness for integration into EPIC
  • Work with the Continuity of Care Document (CCD) to structure patient care records in compliance with regulatory requirements and support data continuity across systems
  • Ensure claims are processed efficiently and accurately and follow up on any claim discrepancies
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and manage sensitive data according to HIPAA and other healthcare regulations

Medical Billing and Coding Specialist Requirements:
  • Certified Professional Coder (CPC) certification or equivalent coding certification preferred
  • 1+ years of experience in medical billing and coding
  • Familiarity with EPIC and other EHR systems is a plus
  • Proficiency in handling patient data securely and with accuracy
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
